Ministries
We are engaged in our faith through the following ways…
When we think of the church, various words come to mind: family, friends, laughter, tears, encouragement, hope, dynamic praise, love, acceptance, forgiveness, eternal life and most of all—Jesus. Our dream for Northend Church is that we will be a family that welcomes hurting people, people who have lost their dream, people who need a home, people who need to know Jesus and His amazing grace. We want to see lived out in our midst the mission of Jesus when He said that He had come to preach Good News to the poor, freedom for the prisoners, recovery of sight for the blind, release for the oppressed and proclaim that this is the time to know God’s favour in life. We see this dream reaching out to St. Catharines, our community, and into our world.
Kids
Where kids come to hear about Jesus, experience His love, and build friendships In Northend kidz, we provide an exciting, safe, and welcoming kids program for ages 0-11 years old. It is our mission to teach your kids all about who Jesus is and the love He has for them, and walk with them as they encounter His presence. Check out our Youtube page for content, get connected to our Northend Kidz Facebook group, and feel free to contact Chelsea with any questions!

Food Bank
We know times are tough and the current situation is difficult. If you’re having a hard time putting food on the table, we’re here to help. We would love to drop-off canned food items to your door. Alternatively, you may call the office at 905-934-3398 to place an order via phone.
Would you like to volunteer your time and efforts in purchasing, categorizing, or dropping off food? If you are interested in doing so, please contact the office for more information. As always, careful considerations will be made regarding social distancing and following all of Niagara Region’s state of emergency guidelines.

Prayer
Change, growth, and a harvest is not reaped by human hands. We know and acknowledge that in everything we do, it must be through Him. He is the Source of our healing, our Refuge when the earth crumbles away, the One who is worthy of our praise.
Our prayer ministry meets regularly.

Seniors
At Northend Church we try to make sure that everyone has a group that they can be a part of. Our seniors are no exception. We value our 65+ community and all the assets they bring to our larger church community. Our Seniors group is led by a group of faithful volunteers as well as our interim Pastor to Seniors, Terrie Sherbino.
Our seniors group enjoys getting together regularly for a time of getting to know each other, sharing, and other special programs. There are also occasional outings and other activities arranged.

Healing Care
Northend Church Healing Care Ministry provides opportunities for people to be positioned to receive healing in the presence of Jesus and experience wholeness in the process. This is provided through small groups, retreats, and individual conversations. This Ministry is for people who long for a deeper walk with the Lord, more of the empowering life of the Spirit, more security in your identity in Christ, connection with others on the journey, healing from life experiences.

Singles
Here at Northend we are fortunate enough to offer a community group for adults who are single and single-again. We hope that this group can be somewhere that adults can find new friendships as the group shares a desire to see how God made one a whole number.
The group plans monthly social activities around the Niagara Region. Check out our Events page to see what is upcoming. You can contact the group coordinator with any questions. Contact Cathy here.

Community Garden
Our Community Garden was a great success! We harvested tomatoes, beans, swiss chard, kale, lettuce, carrots, onions, various squashes, and a huge variety of fresh herbs. This food was used by our Foodbank.
We are always looking for volunteers to assist with expanding the garden, weeding, and in the spring we’ll need a planting crew.
